The practical carbine course is designed to take the skills that students have learned in our carbine 1 course and carbine clinics and apply them under realistic field conditions.Cognitive learning theory in the classroom through a partnership with a landowner in south san benito county we have been able to secure a large ranch with varying terrain and field conditions to provide our students with a training environment full of endless possibilities.Cognitive learning theory in the classroom shooting from distances of contact to 400 yards students will be faced with multiple target scenarios and movement problems as well as positional and varied angle shooting.Cognitive learning theory in the classroom this training venue also allows our instructors to touch on other important skill areas such as realistic low light engagements, land navigation, movement and equipment selection for life beyond the flat range.Cognitive learning theory in the classroom the facility also has lodging on site for our students which is included in the course cost. This course is designed for the novice to intermediate NVG owner/operator with experience using both a carbine and handgun. Upon completion of the course the student will have an understanding of how night vision devices and multi-function aiming lasers (MFAL) operate as well as laser eye safety procedures and the differences in capability between commercial and restricted power MFAL’s.Cognitive learning theory in the classroom

Students will learn to set up and properly maintain their night vision equipment, zero the MFAL and learn weapons handling skills specific to working in a no light environment.Cognitive learning theory in the classroom due to the unique layout of “the ranch” students will engage targets from contact to 100+ yards in both exterior and interior environments.
