NORTHERN SECONDARY SCHOOL SPECIAL EDUCATION (LD) PROGRAMS what does cognitive learning mean

Students who are IN DISTRICT for northern secondary school and are currently identified as exceptional by an identification, placement and review committee (I.P.R.C.) or who are currently receiving special education support at northern as outlined in their individual education plans (ieps) qualify for ONE of the following programs listed below.What does cognitive learning mean successful applicants under optional attendance qualify only for the learning strategies program.

Students MUST have an area IPRC with the TDSB and be recommended for an SES-LD placement at the annual IPRC review meeting held at their elementary/middle school (for grade 9) or at northern (for grades 10-11).What does cognitive learning mean students who apply under optional attendance do not qualify for this program. Senior students receive instruction in groups of eight or more for one 75-minute period in each two-day cycle.What does cognitive learning mean during the resource room period students learn strategies to help them be successful in school.
